Terms of Service

1.The agreement

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have the authority to bind that company, and "you" means the company.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.

We may change these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then.

2.Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything your teammates do in a workspace you own. Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them.

Billing belongs to the workspace owner. Removing a teammate does not change who is billed, and inviting one does not add a charge, because there are no per-seat fees.

3.Acceptable use

A redirect service is attractive to people who want to disguise where a link goes. Because a single abusive code can get our domain flagged by browsers, which would put a warning in front of every customer’s printed codes, we enforce this section strictly and without notice.

You may not use KeeperQR to point a code at, or to distribute:

• Phishing pages, credential harvesting, or anything impersonating another person, business, or public body.
• Malware, ransomware, unwanted software, or exploit kits.
• Content that is illegal where it is published or where it is scanned, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities.
• Deceptive commercial schemes, fake stores, fraudulent payment pages, or investment scams.
• Material that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence against a person or group.

You also may not:

• Use a code to evade a block, filter, or suspension imposed by us or by anyone else.
• Generate scans artificially, whether to inflate your own numbers or to load our systems.
• Attempt to access another customer’s workspace, codes, or scan data.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide KeeperQR as a service to third parties without a written agreement with us.

Enforcement. We may disable a single code or an entire account, immediately and without prior notice, where we believe this section has been breached. A disabled code returns an error to whoever scans it. We also run automated checks: a destination flagged by Google Web Risk is paused automatically, and anyone can report a code to us without an account.

Report a code with our report form, which needs no account, or by email to abuse@keeperqr.com. If we disable something of yours and you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice and we will look again.

4.Your codes keep working

This is a commitment, not a marketing line. When your trial ends, or you cancel, or your payment fails, the QR codes you have already created keep redirecting and keep recording scans. What you lose is the ability to create new codes and new campaigns.

The only exceptions are the acceptable use section above, and a lawful order requiring us to act.

We do not insert advertising, interstitial pages, or upgrade prompts between a scan and your destination, on any plan or on no plan at all.

5.If we shut down

Small companies end. Pretending otherwise would be the kind of thing this product exists to argue against, so here is what we commit to instead.

• We will give at least 90 days’ notice by email to every account holder before shutting the service down.
• Redirects will keep resolving for the whole of that notice period.
• You will be able to export every code, its short URL, its destinations, and its routing rules throughout that period.
• We will not sell your scan data as an asset in a wind-down or sale, and any acquirer takes on these terms.

If you are printing in quantity, use your own domain for your codes. A domain you own can be re-pointed at any service, which protects your print run regardless of what happens to us. This is included in the plan.

6.Plans, payment, and the Founding Member offer

Prices, tax, and billing are on the pricing page, and refunds and cancellation are in the refund policy. In short: prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, which is calculated and added at checkout, and purchases are sold through Link, by Stripe, acting as merchant of record.

Founding Member fair use. The $129 lifetime purchase covers your own use of the product on ordinary terms. It is limited to the first 200 accounts. It is not transferable and may not be resold. It covers up to 1,000,000 scans per month across your workspace; above that we will contact you to agree terms rather than switching anything off. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the service, which is bounded by the shutdown section above.

7.Your content and your data

You own your destinations, your code designs, and your scan data. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store that content, to serve redirects, and to display it back to you and your teammates.

For scan data about the people who scan your codes, you are the data controller and we are your processor. The terms of that are in the data processing addendum, and who we use is in the subprocessor list.

You are responsible for telling the people who scan your codes what you collect, where your own privacy law requires that.

8.Availability and liability

We work hard to keep redirects resolving, and we monitor them, but we do not offer a service level agreement and the service is provided as is. We disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or the cost of reprinting materials. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9.Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. You can delete your account from your settings, which deletes your codes and their scan data and stops the redirects. That is irreversible.

We may end the agreement for a material breach of these terms, and immediately for a breach of the acceptable use section.
